Suggestions for September 2026
It’s already September, which can only mean one thing: it’s back-to-school time. Cheer up—our suggestions are also back for the new season with a series of new recipes, available on our menu starting September 9.
Each of these appetizers highlights freshness in its own way, since the warm weather is still here and we plan to make the most of it with recipes tailored to the season. The millefeuille of fresh goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes is a pairing that works wonderfully in this regard, as is the beef carpaccio topped with shavings of Parmesan and Riquette cheese—both indulgent and melt-in-your-mouth! For those craving seafood, don’t miss the marinated Scottish “tsar” salmon, served with a fresh green bean salad and lemon vinaigrette. The term “tsar” refers to a specific cut from the center of the salmon fillet, sliced thickly to fully enjoy this premium cut of salmon.
As for the main courses, the catch of the day also has something special to offer. We’re thinking of cod fillets beautifully paired with a trio of flavors: roasted chorizo, leek fondue, and bell pepper coulis. Or how about a gourmet trip to Italy with roasted king prawns, Parmesan risotto, and a shellfish coulis? Finally , to remind you that September is still summer, we’re offering one of the season’s star ingredients, which is still in full swing as the school year begins: zucchini. First, a vegetarian dish : zucchini ravioli with Parmesan shavings and a tomato-basil sauce; and a second dish that’s, shall we say… less vegetarian : roasted pork tenderloin with pan-seared zucchini and tarragon jus. No matter what your diet is or what you’re in the mood for today, the main thing is that it tastes good—and we think it’s off to a pretty good start.
If you’re familiar with our suggestions, you may know that we often like to include a “cocktail of the moment.” September is no exception, with the Havana Mule—a mix of Nuage French vodka, 3-year-old Havana Club rum, Fever-Tree ginger beer, and lime. Enjoy in moderation and on the patio to add a touch of Cuba to those beautiful days as the school year begins.
See you soon at Deux Magots.
