Suggestions for September 2026

Who says fall has to be melancholic? Certainly not us. We love its soft light, its vibrant colors, and its seasonal produce! Here’s a quick look at some of the October highlights from the Deux Magots menu, where you’ll find some of these flavors.

To start the meal, we begin with a reimagined regional specialty: pâté en croûte stuffed with chorizo and bell peppers. It offers a beautiful balance between spice and mildness, providing an Iberian take on a traditional French dish. In keeping with the season, we’re also showcasing mushrooms with a sauté of chanterelles and oyster mushrooms in a rich veal jus, topped with a soft-boiled egg that adds a melt-in-your-mouth richness to the dish.

Last but certainly not least among the starters is the traditional “herring and potato in oil,” revisited Deux Magots style. We offer it as a smoked herring tartare, paired with potato salad, Granny Smith apple for a touch of tangy freshness, and a horseradish mayonnaise that adds a subtle zest to the whole dish.

Suggestions for September 2026

Looking for something special to discover among the main courses ? We think so. We’ll start with a concentrated dose of autumn for your taste buds: mashed butternut squash served alongside a roasted salmon fillet, with a cider beurre blanc for a touch of sweetness! Lobster medallions are another great option in the seafood category, paired here with tagliatelle, sliced carrots and zucchini, and a shellfish coulis. We also invite you on a walk in the woods with the veal fillet , mushroom fricassee, and new potatoes. A comforting dish to prepare for the first chills of autumn! Finally, a dish that will appeal to vegetarians and food lovers alike: ravioli with preserved lemon and ricotta, served with a lemon cream sauce !

The cocktail of the moment is not to be missed—it’s all about red berries this month. The “Goose Berry” combines Grey Goose Berry vodka, lemonade, crème de framboise, and fresh raspberries. It’s refreshing, it’s fruity, and it should still be enjoyed in moderation.
