Writers' Monday with Raphaël Haroche

Singer and writer Raphaël Haroche will be our next guest on “Lundi des Ecrivains”, the monthly literary meeting of Les Deux Magots. We will have the pleasure of welcoming him on Monday March 13 at 6:30 pm.

He will present his first novel Avalanche, published by Gallimard: Between flashes of tenderness and outbursts of cruelty, this singular and melancholic novel is a moving chronicle of adolescence.

Writers' Monday with Raphaël Haroche

As space is limited, this meeting is only available by reservation at
evenementiel@lesdeuxmagots.fr

It will be hosted by the excellent Baptiste Liger, editorial director of Lire Magazine, and organized in partnership with the bookshop La Procure.

Raphaël Haroche first became famous in music, and in 2005 he was recognized with his third album Caravane, which placed him among the top singer-songwriters (three Victoires de la Musique awards were given to this album).

Avalanche is his first novel, but Raphaël is not a beginner in literature. He is indeed already the author of two collections of short stories. The first, named Return to the Sea, was an immediate success upon its release in 2017 and won the prestigious Prix Goncourt for short stories. The second collection Une éclipse followed in 2021 and confirmed the sensitivity and mastery of his pen, in different atmospheres and themes from those he usually explores in his songs… sign of a total artist who likes to reinvent himself.
