Writers' Monday with Louis-Henri de la Rochefoucauld
Writer and journalist Louis-Henri de la Rochefoucauld, winner of the Prix des Deux Magots 2022, will be the guest at our Lundi des Ecrivains literary event on Monday December 4 at 6:30pm.
He will present his new novel “Les Petits Farceurs” (published by Robert Laffont), which evokes friendship, the exaltation of writing, and Balzacian illusions lost in the Paris of today.
This event is free of charge, and only available by reservation at evenementiel@lesdeuxmagots.fr (places are limited).
It will be hosted by Baptiste Liger, Editorial Director of Lire Magazine Littéraire.

THE BOOK:
When Paul, the provincial, meets Henri, the Parisian, it’s an instant friendship. They’re students who imagine their destinies to be flamboyant. Now a dilettante journalist, Henri discovers the backrooms of the press and publishing world. Paul publishes an ambitious first novel – which nobody reads. Despite this setback, a publisher with a knack for pulling off all kinds of coups offered him the chance to write other people’s bestsellers in the shadows. But can you lend your pen without selling your soul?
In a Paris whose cruelty leads to melancholy or detachment, even friendship is put to the test, as is love, the last crossroads of illusions. Paul and Henri had dreamed of being great writers, but they’ll never be anything but little pranksters…
