PRESENTATION OF THE BOOK BY FLEUVE ÉDITIONS :

In the hostile world of the Far North, no one can hear you scream.

A detective and criminologist in Lyon, Teddy Schaffran learns that his daughter’s body has been discovered in Norferville, a remote mining town in Quebec’s far north. Morgane has been savagely mutilated, abandoned in the snow not far from a native reserve. Without a second thought, Teddy drops everything to go to the scene, determined to find out what happened.

There, Léonie Rock, a mixed-race cop, is put on the case. She’s forced to reconnect with the remote place where she was born and where, as a teenager, three strangers raped her. A return to his own hell, as temperatures hover around -20°C.

Together, these two people, tested by life, will struggle to find answers despite the inhospitality of nature and mankind.
