Writers' Monday with Amélie Nothomb
It was a pleasure and an honor to welcome the queen of French literature, Amélie Nothomb, this Monday, December 12 at Les Deux Magots.
The evening was held as part of our monthly “Writers’ Monday” literary event, in which a leading author comes to present his or her new book to the public (by reservation only at evenementiel@lesdeuxmagots.fr – limited seating).
Her fans were able to listen to her tell in detail about her latest novel “The Book of Sisters”, but also about her career, her inspirations, her writing methods… all with her usual humor and kindness. Traditionally held in our veranda library, Writer’s Monday was held this time in our historic room to accommodate more fans! The evening was also an opportunity to celebrate Amélie Nothomb’s 30 years of writing, in the company of her historical publisher Albin Michel.
We warmly thank Baptiste Liger from Lire Magazine for his interviewing skills, as well as the bookstore La Procure for its precious participation to this beautiful event.
