The new garden terrace

Les Deux Magots’ new terrace-garden awaits you to enjoy the sunny days, on the renovated and planted Place Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

Welcome to a bubble of greenery where the hustle and bustle of the boulevard disappears, surrounded by box and lime trees, decorated with a plant wall and trellis in a nod to the Jardin du Luxembourg.

The ideal spot to soak up the spring sunshine, overlooking Saint-Germain-des-Prés church and its thousand-year-old bell tower, over a drink with friends, a family brunch or a fine meal.

“It is with particular joy that we inaugurate our new garden terrace on the legendary Place Saint-Germain-des-Prés. This green setting, conceived as a timeless parenthesis, is naturally in keeping with the spirit of Les Deux Magots and the Parisian art of living. We look forward to welcoming our customers and friends to this unique venue, a haven of peace in the heart of the Left Bank,” says Catherine Mathivat, President of Les Deux Magots.

The new garden terrace

The new terrace-garden is part of the Place Saint-Germain-des-Prés, which was enhanced by work carried out at the beginning of the year. At the end of the works, scheduled for early May, the roadway will be reduced to make way for an enlarged, renovated pedestrian area. Eleven lime trees have been planted in a bid to recreate tree-lined spaces in the heart of Paris, and our terrace-garden has been specially designed to blend harmoniously into this new setting.

A real little corner of paradise!
