Coming to Les Deux Magots during the Olympics
Good news, our café-restaurant will remain very easily accessible during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
We’re delighted to welcome the world on this occasion, and after the passage of the Olympic flame on July 14, we’ll be lucky enough to see the cycling time trial pass by Les Deux Magots this Saturday, July 27!
Pedestrian access to the area will remain free throughout the Games. The Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Mabillon metro stations will not be closed.
Motorized access – and motorized access only – will be prohibited (except by special dispensation) in certain streets in the area, on :
– Friday July 26, from 6:00 a.m.: opening day of the competition. Boulevard Saint-Germain will be open to traffic from the junction with rue du Bac, but the streets between the boulevard and the quays will be closed to motorized traffic.
– Saturday July 27, from midday to around 8:00 pm: the women’s and men’s time trials will take place on Boulevard Saint-Germain. Motorized access will be prohibited in a large area of the Left Bank, between the quays and rue de Grenelle and rue Saint-Sulpice.
– Saturday August 3, from 9.00 am to around 7.00 pm: the men’s road race will take place on boulevard Saint-Michel and the quays. As a result, motorized access to part of the left bank will be prohibited. See the interactive map below for more details.
– Sunday August 4, from midday to around 7:00 pm: the women’s road race will take place on boulevard Saint-Michel and the quays. As a result, motorized access to part of the left bank will be prohibited. See the interactive map below for more details.
Pedestrian and metro access will remain open on all four days, so we look forward to seeing you as usual, from 7.30 a.m. to 1.00 a.m., to have a great time with us.
